Arcadia Recap and Frosh Soph Prep!

Hello nighthawk families and fans,

This past Saturday we took a few Athletes to The 55th Annual Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High School. It is one of the biggest high school track meets in the nation and we had some great performances from our nighthawks. You can find the full meet results here and keep reading for some highlights.

Parent Donations

As you can imagine, it takes a lot to put together a program of our size and we are asking for a $200 donation per family who is able to do so. This helps off set the cost of equiptment, travel, coaching stipends, meet entry fees, etc. Any donations are greatly appreciated, we also encourage you to find out about company matching programs that many businesses offer to further your impact. Find information to donate here. You can also write a check Payable to Del Norte High School. Write "Track" and your athletes name in the memo.

Frosh Soph Invitational

We host the Frosh Soph Invitational each year which is a huge fundraiser for our program. Every Del Norte Track Athlete is required to help out during the meet per our team rules agreement. We also need the help and support of our parents to run things like the snack bar, gate check in, etc. Parents can sign up here for volunteer spots. We will be rolling out assignments for our student athletes later this week and the beginning of next. They will be split into morning and evening shifts. Upperclassmen will have priority for morning shifts.

Keep up with the latest news by following us on instagram! We post regular updates, meet photos and videos highlight an array of athletes. Head over to our page now to catch up!

House Keeping

  • Thank you to the parents who already signed up to help out at the snack bar this season. Those of you who signed up to help at next weeks dual meet versus Westview should expect an email from us this week with details. We still need volunteers for our CIF Prelims snack bar, If you are available for that or any of our upcoming home meets please fill out this form to let us know your availability! We really appreciate your help.

  • Seniors, if you would like to be included in our class of 2023 page on the website, please be sure to fill out the questionnaire so we can get your bio up.

  • REMINDER - athletes should not sign up for the SAT on May 9th as it is the same day as our League Finals Meet.

Donate your used spikes to a Nighthawk in need!

  • If your athlete has spikes from last season that aren’t super torn up, they can use them again. If they are getting new spikes and don’t need their old ones, feel free to bring them to practice and we can share them with another nighthawk in need! Once your athlete gets their spikes, have them show their coach before wearing them at practice. We can help navigate each athletes needs.
